Dallas, TX – March 27, 2008 – Eklin Medical Systems, a leading developer of digital radiography (DR), PACS (Picture Archiving and Communications System) and Practice Management software for veterinary care (VIA®), is showcasing VIA's new Hospital Functionality and VIA Safe™ at the annual American Animal Hospital Association conference being held March 28 - 30, 2008. The new functionality, provides a comprehensive patient and information tracking system with automatic remote back-up of patient data, provides numerous benefits to the veterinary care practice.

According to Stafford, other benefits include an on-line electronic "whiteboard" and individual patient treatment sheet which allows a permanent record of all whiteboards, along with treatment sheets located throughout the practice. This provides advantages such as tracking each patient's treatment progress in real time and easy viewing of treatment tasks. Tasks can be scheduled quickly over a specified time period and treatment tasks assigned by staff member or function, resulting in the ability to capture and account for productivity while providing an accurate running total of invoices. All data is automatically backed up by VIA Safe.
